The 3D model of the entire Isola Polvese was created through an aerial survey carried out by an automated drone flight, during which over 2,000 nadiral (ground-parallel) photographs were captured. The images were processed in the lab using Agisoft Metashape, resulting in a high-resolution digital reconstruction of the island’s landscape and morphology.
This type of model, available here in a lightweight web version, serves as a valuable tool for territorial analysis, environmental documentation, scientific dissemination, and the promotion of Isola Polvese’s geographical and historical heritage.
