The GREAL Laboratory of the European University of Rome has created an immersive virtual tour of the archaeological site of the Church of San Secondo on Polvese Island, in the heart of Lake Trasimeno. The tour allows users to digitally explore the area through 360° video spheres.
View in full screenThe project was developed as part of the collaboration between GREAL and the Italian Geographical Society (SGI), for the creation of the multimedia product San Secondo – Polvese Island, within the initiative “Le Geografie del Mediterraneo: storie, relazioni e diritti” (Geographies of the Mediterranean: stories, relationships, and rights). The virtual tour, designed for educational and outreach purposes, was officially presented during the public event GeoNight 2025, held on April 4, 2025, at the Society’s headquarters in Villa Celimontana, Rome.
