Alessandro Prunesti, lecturer at the European University of Rome and GREAL’s deputy director, had a meeting yesterday in Geneva with Prof. Peter Gallinelli, director of the Passive Igloo Project and skipper of S/Y NANUQ, an innovative environmentally-sustainable research boat.

The purpose of Prunesti’s visit to Switzerland was to deliver scientific equipment put at disposal, by GREAL, to the NANUQ2020 Arctic expedition workgroup, lead by Gallinelli, for training and research this summer. The expedition is scheduled to depart in July, bound for Greenland, if mobility conditions in Europe, due to the developments of Covid19 pandemic, will allow.
